If you want to apply too much pressure to it, it’s actually still not bad either. As a touchscreen, it works very well and responsive. With the being a touchscreen the display is glossy but despite this is still fairly visible and under bright lighting. On the display, you can easily see the PMW flicker which irritates. The HP Envy X360 has 250 nits which look dark even on 100% brightness. So, if you are susceptible to eyestrain due to that flicker, bear that in mind to set the brightness at less than 75 percent. The panel does show PWM flicker and that’s a zero percent brightness but by increase it even 75 percent to 100 percent, you may have that eyestrain. It has an edge-to-edge display or if you want a 4k which is also available here.

It’s got a 15.6 1080p edge to edge glass display. While brightness is adequate, neither contrast nor color pops, and therefore the touch overlay is glossy and reflective. Fine details look crisp and viewing angles are wide, as you’d expect from a screen with 4k resolution and IPS technology but the display otherwise earns a bit low than the great display. This has a 4k display standard, there is no version that comes with a lower resolution screen. I do like that it’s got a fingerprint sensor which is pretty good and you got a speaker grille up at the top. The keyboard themselves is fairly rigid and it is island-style keys and quite easy to see in the light. There’s a slight surface texture to it and it does respond pretty well. The trackpad is a large size and we’ve integrated mouse buttons. The backlighting has two levels of brightness. The keyboard is all made of aluminium not quite the same sturdy build as on the XPS 15 but still pretty nice. There is an air vent on both sides and on the side, there is a switch to disable the webcam. The hinge on the HP Envy X360 has a quite nice clean look to it. HP Envy 15 X360Ĭomparing it to the Dell XPS 15, the build quality is slightly more robust on the XPS 15. It’s got a 360-degree hinge which makes this convertible as a tablet. It’s a relatively thin and light machine and in a lot of ways, it’s just not what I expected from an Inspiron series. It’s a convertible design and it has a three-piece aluminum chassis. All of those dark, cold surfaces start to feel industrial but small touches just like the rounded rear edge and trim around the touchpad give the Inspiron some much-needed warmth. The inky design continues onto the within of the laptop where gray keys blend into a black deck. A Chrome Dell logo is centered on the lid providing contrast against a jet-black void.
